This policy explains what personal information Daytasolutions Technologies Ltd collects when you use PeerPredict, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We handle your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We are the "data controller" — the organisation responsible for your information.
Information you give us: • Your email address and/or phone number — this is how you sign in and how we identify you. • Your name, username, and (if you provide it) your date of birth. • Your profile picture, if you upload or choose one. • If you win a prize, the details we need to deliver it (for example the phone number to load airtime or data), and — where we must confirm eligibility — proof of your identity and age. Information created as you use the app: • Your predictions, coin balance and coin history (bonuses, stakes, winnings, referrals). • Your referral code and who joined with it. • Records of sign-ins and important actions on your account. • A device token, so we can send you notifications. • Limited technical information when something breaks, so we can fix it. This is set up not to include your personal details.
To run your account and the game (performing our contract with you): signing you in, holding your coin balance, accepting predictions, settling pools, and running promotions and prize draws. To meet our legal duties: confirming age and eligibility for prizes, keeping the records we are required to keep, and responding to lawful requests. For our legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing fraud, multiple accounts and collusion, fixing faults, and improving the app. With your consent: promotional messages. You can turn these off at any time in the app, and turning them off does not affect your account.
You choose which notifications you receive in the app — pools starting, pools ending, results, coin activity, and promotions. Promotions are off unless you switch them on. We may still send you messages we need to send about your account or your security, even if promotions are off.
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with the companies that help us run the service: • Our hosting and database provider, which stores the app's data. • Our image storage provider, which holds your profile picture privately. • Our messaging providers, to send your one-time codes and emails. • Where a prize is fulfilled by a third party (for example an airtime/data provider or a sponsor), the details needed to deliver your prize. • Our error-monitoring provider, which is configured not to receive your personal details. • Our sports data providers, which receive no personal information at all. We also share information where the law requires it — with regulators, law enforcement, or in connection with a legal claim.
Some of the providers we use store data outside Nigeria, including in the United States. That means your information may be transferred and stored abroad. Where that happens, we take steps intended to keep your information protected to the standard required by Nigerian law, including contractual protections with those providers.
Your password is stored scrambled in a way that cannot be reversed — nobody at PeerPredict can read it. Your profile picture is stored privately. Access to your data is restricted to staff who need it, and we limit how often sign-in and code requests can be made, to protect your account from attacks. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information and puts you at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. When you close your account we remove your personal details — your name, phone number, email, date of birth and your profile picture. We may keep limited records where the law requires, or to prevent fraud and abuse; those records are no longer linked to your identity in the app. Records of activity on the service are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to: • Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy. • Ask us to correct information that is wrong — you can edit most of it yourself in the app. • Ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to any records we must keep by law. • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information. • Withdraw consent for marketing at any time. • Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To exercise any of these, contact helpdesk@peerpredict.app. We may need to confirm your identity first.
PeerPredict is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover that we have, we delete it and close the account.
We may update this policy. The version and date are shown at the bottom of this page, and we will tell you in the app about important changes. Questions about your information, or about this policy: helpdesk@peerpredict.app. Data Protection Officer: [name and contact, once appointed].
